Our instructors are happy to help you decide which course to take. But, generally speaking, if you've already had some lessons and are riding on both sides you are ready for the intermediate course.
The answer is both. While with private the instructor is focused only on you and you get more time on the water; with shared lessons you do also get to learn from the instruction of the other student. So if you do have a buddy, shared lessons can be fun.
You can ask your instructor before you begin. Because we are a deep water location, we recommend only two so that each student gets enough time on the water. However, if all of you are around the same weight and at the same level 3 students may also work out.
All equipment is included with your course. You will need to bring: water, suncreen a small snack if you would like one. There's plenty of storage space at the center to keep your things.
Your hours never expire, you are more than welcome to come back anytime. We suggest not letting to much time pass between lessons so you do not forget what you have learned.
If you do not reside in Jordan, we will refund you for your unused portion.
If you are new, feel free to ask your instructor what the forecast looks like.
If you're already a kiter, you can look at windfinder - super forecast only - or windy.
We have wind year round but we generally have the most windy days Sept - November and Feb - June.
Everyone learns at a different pace, but most students are able to stand on the board and ride within 6–12 hours of instruction. Full confidence and independent riding often come after about 3–5 days of lessons.
No prior experience is needed! Most people start as complete beginners. With the right instruction, you can safely learn the basics in just a few lessons.
Yes — when taught properly and practiced with the right equipment, kitesurfing is very safe. Our certified instructors focus on safety from your very first lesson, including how to launch, land, and control your kite.
If you already have equipment, feel free to bring it along — our instructors will inspect it for safety before use. Otherwise, we provide premium, up-to-date gear for all students.
We welcome riders from around 12 years old and up, depending on weight, fitness, and comfort in the water. There’s no upper age limit — if you’re active and healthy, you can learn!
It’s less about brute strength and more about technique. The harness takes most of the pull, so many people are surprised by how manageable it is — even for beginners.
