About Youri…..

Youri Zoon grew up by the sea in the Southwest of the Netherlands and has been an extreme sports addict from a young age. BMX, Windsurfing, Motocross, you name it.  With each of these activities, Youri always pushed himself to the limit.  At age 13, Youri decided to focus exclusively on kiteboarding and joined the VKWC (formerly known as PKRA). With determination and focus, Youri grabbed the World Title in both 2011 and 2012. Having kited for over 15 years, he has retired from competing and is focused solely on coaching.

Kite Clinic Includes:

• 3 days of coaching with 2x World Champion Youri Zoon

• Lunch, dinner and drinks. Not including alcohol.

• bbTalkin 2-way bluetooth headsets during coaching

• Guided down winders

• Water and snacks in between coaching sessions

• Boat service at all times

Cost: 599 JD per person per clinic

Optional: Photos and videos that will be used in the coaching program. A complete personalized video is available for purchase for 100 JD.

Airfare, airport transfers, accommodation, alcohol, personal expenses, gratuities.

 

Clinic Program
Each rider will begin with a water session to evaluate and begin coaching. After the water sessions, video reviews will be conducted. From the video reviews, riders can practice what they’ve learned in their next water session.

Spot, Wind and Weather
Our spot is deep water spot with a lot of space to kite. During your sessions you will have plenty of space to yourself without having to worry about other kiters. The water at our spot is choppy with small swells on days with high wind.
Statistically, September is one of the windiest months of the year. The average wind speed is 15 - 25 knots. The average air temperature is 37C and the average Sea temperature is 27C.

Do you need your own gear?
While most people prefer to use their own gear, we do have gear for rental for anyone who does not have or want to bring his/her own. We also have full and short wetsuits available for rent.

Recommended Accommodation:

Our spot is located in Tala Bay, South Beach of Aqaba. There are 2 resorts in Tala Bay and one hotel. There are also serviced apartments and villas available. You can see rooms and availability.

If you're looking for a budget hotel outside of Tala Bay. Bedouin Village Garden is 5 mins by car or taxi.

​

Aqaba city also has many hotels to choose from, Aqaba city is a 15-20 min drive by car or taxi.
